We've soft-launched Seed to 2030, our purpose-driven, hybrid impact fund that blends a donor-advised fund (DAF), global grants program, and quasi-endowment. This innovative structure fortifies our current programs while catalyzing future grantmaking across the plant-based and animal advocacy movements.
See more funds on our Regranting DAFs Collective page.
DONORS CHOOSE:
- Amount and method of donation (of course)
- Time held until funds are released to our DAF or Global Grants Program (2030 or until specified)
- Recipients of final funding (DAF grants allow donors to choose type of beneficiary, geographic region, method/intervention, or specific organizations... or entrust us to allocate.)
THE BEST OF ALL WORLDS... HOW IT WORKS:
In the short-term, as we build the fund, this initiative strengthens A Well-Fed World's direct programs and plant-based advocacy by supplementing our fundraising with interest income. This reduces funding uncertainty and allows more of our time and resources to be allocated to programs, outreach, and strategy. Bonus: It also gives us more flexibility to assist other organizations with occasional specialty grants.
In 2040 (or sooner as specified), the impact fund will begin granting its principal to further amplify the work of other mission-aligned organizations and expand capacity across the sector.
KICKSTART OUR IMPACT FUND:
We're seeking contributions from major donors who value strong organizational infrastructure and economic stewardship to provide seed funding or matching grants.
The Seed to 2030 Impact Fund reflects our shared commitment to plant-based advocacy and movement resilience. To learn more, please visit our donate page or contact our founder/president, Dawn Moncrief at [email protected] or 202-468-4834.
